Broken Anvil/Unknown

Saw this at an estate sale today. Been in someones damp basemant a long time. Noticed the back end was broken off. Still weighed between 150-180 lbs in my opinion. Can't make out any markings due to the corrosion/rust. Is this of any value at all? Can't believe they know it is broken and still asking $295

Since ones in decent shape are now up over $3-5 per #, the price seems reasonable if someone can use 1/2 an anvil, if your weight guess is on track.

It's only worth scrap value.
It may be possible for you to get some use from it, but if you ever need to sell it nobody will want to buy half an anvil..

Update. The anvil brought $150. Not my money though. Was going to offer them $50 if they still had it. Thank you all for your replies and info on this.

Without knowing the rebound, it difficult to determine value. Edges looked jacked taking a brush to it would be helpful to the buyer
