Broken Easco. Call Scotland Yard!

I have broke one of my favorite ratchets. My half inch drive 16 Inch easco has bit the big one.

I know easco is out of business, any ideas how to get this thing warrantied.

Or has someone bought the tooling and is still producing these under another name?

I really want this replaced.I love the fine tooth and the socket lock.

You can't get them warrantied anymore. I called Danaher about it last year and they said no warranty on any Easco stuff. Here is one on ebay.

Easco is KD tools now. So call Apex.

I think that they are actually still under Danaher and not the Apex tool group. I know they are the same company but it does make a difference. When I called they said they didn't honor the warranty on Easco tools but a few people in the past have just sent stuff in and they sent them back KD or Gearwrench equivalent items.

I will just buy a new Williams (snap on brand) The MSRP is like $80 and is $27 shipped in ebay. I have one and really like it.

Just because the pipe fits over the handle doesn't mean it belongs there!

I never understood putting a pipe on a ratchet.. that's what they have breaker bars for

If it is any help to the OP, keep an eye out on evil-Bay, these ratchets do show up from time to time, even the long-handled version (sadly, I missed out on it the last time). They usually go pretty cheap too, for some reason.

Edit: There's actually one up there now, but it's in pretty rough shape.

I have the Craftsman version of this and have to admit that I like the handle design on the Easco slightly better. I hope you're able to find another, they are really nice to use.

I found what appears to be the same ratchet head in a different handle, only 10 1/2 inches long.

They also made those long handled RHFT quick release 1/2 drive ratchets under the Allen brand so, there's another purchase option.
