Broken KD Ratchet

I broke the selector switch on my 3/4 drive KD ratchet the other day. Since gearwrench bought them out and no longer has any replacement parts for the line. Anyone have any ideas?

It could be worse. A few years ago there was a thread on here where people who bought Challenger by Proto tools were told ***** being you we discontinued that line. I was one of them.

This kit should work, Allen, KD, Napa & Craftsman should all use the same one.

The selector on my Napa 3/4 is held on with a screw so it may be possible to make a selector with a little trouble.

Buy a new SK or Wright ratchet and move on with life.

The warranty is no good (just like warranties from New Britain, Billings, Bonney and Armstrong).....not the end of the world.

I had a selector switch break on a Carlyle ratchet and I had to buy a rebuild kit. It wasn't a defect because I broke it. If I could buy a rebuild kit on Ebay, that seems like the cheapest solution.

When I picked up Easco tools, the company was owned by KD. At the time Easco still made tools for Craftsman.

Carlyle isn't made by Apex anymore though. Do they really have the same s****y warranty as Apex? If so I'm kinda pissed as I dropped like $500 on their stuff in Q1 and have all my proof of purchase receipts and my local store is a giant corporate warehouse not some Indy guy that may not want to warranty anything.

I didn't make a fuss about it. Napa brought the kit out to me and I just paid it. If I tried I might have gotten it free but I didn't feel like arguing with the delivery guy.
