Broken TML70A Ratchet

I have an older snap on TML70A 1/4" ratchet that has been sitting broken in my box for some time now. What would be the best way to go about getting this warranted? I don't have a local truck dealer at the moment, does snap on still offer kits for this ratchet? Should I email them and ask for a kit or just send it in? Thanks

Send it in and they will send you a new one. They may send you the kit at no charge if you call them. They will work it out where it's repaired or replced at no charge to you. I've never had to buy a kit

It's odd that they sell the kits if they have a lifetime warranty.

If that ratchet means anything to you like it was yours Dads or?? They will replace the whole ratchet with a TL72.

I also have a TL72, and although I like the 72 teeth action, I kinda like the smaller head of the TML70A

Request they put a kit in it. If they have it they will do it. I sent some screwdrivers in and because I liked my handles the reshafted mine. It never cost me a dime to have things repaired or replaced. They will even send you a return label (or email you one) to return it. Chances are they will just shoot you out a kit if you want and can rebuild it yourself. Best customer service period

Just call them and or email them and they will send you the kit for free. If you don't want to keep it send it in and you will get a new tl72 to replace it, that simple.

Are you sure it is broke? Let me guess it is slipping? These old 1/4 snap on will slip if not lubed, I know it makes no sense but i have had it happen a bunch. Oil it up and see.

When I've called about rebuilding older ratchets, I've been told that they no longer do rebuilds. They will send you a kit for free. If you send it in, they'll replace it with the newest equivalent model. In either case, it's best to call rather than just mail it in since they'll cover the shipping. (Often, they'll just ask you to junk the old one rather than send it back)

Some might just like to have a spare kit on hand in case of breakage. Then you can warranty the broken kit/ratchet when time permits.

I bought a bunch of kits to convert ratchets to 3/8 heads in 1/4 bodys and stuff, my snap on guy would sell them to me for 5 a piece... So I bought about 20 or so for spares and or conversions. Worked out well and then if I break something I have a kit and save the broken one for the next time I see a truck.

if it has the original parts those would wear out and cause it to slip real easy. the newer kit rkra930a i think prevents that. the parts are tighter than that of the old set up.
