Like my wife told me last night my new shop is finally coming after 12 years of talking bout it. I'm going with a pole barn from a local company. The first set of pix are before the grading and driveway All the fill was put on the back side of the big maple tree that you can see in the picture. This will be used as a turn around when the fill finally settles. The shop location is about where the bobcat sits. It's a 30 x 48 with 12 foot eves. The garage door had to be put on the 30 foot side because of the slope of the property. They are coming out tomorrow to set the posts, I will post more pix as the construction continues. The flooring and electrical will come at a later date when the money becomes available.

I asked a Certified Arborist about that and was told that as long as the fill isn't right on the tree it should be all right. The fill was used on the back side of the tree and on the right.

Got the poles set today and concrete pored around them. Had to get a line pump because they were not able to get up here before the ground thawed.
