This question is for the guys that have used the painted on flooring. What did the manufactuer recommend? A smooth finish or a light broomed finish prior to applying the flooring material? This is going onto a new floor, and I'll be laying down a vapor-barrier beneath. Thanks in advance!!

Thanks so much Fred! Do you have any retailers near Spokane, WA? Or is it best to just purchase through you directly? I have a friend that I'm helping out on a 30x 36 shop who wants the entire floor covered. Any idea on a cost for that kind of area? Thanks again!!

Definitely light broom, just did my flooring on my new garage end of last summer, worked great. The product I used was about $1 a sf. Not sure of brand, but may have been rustoleum.
