I just got a dark green Brown and Sharpe combination square. It has "hardened" cast into the anvil. The green paint appears original to it but I never seen that color used on Brown and Sharpe tools. I assume it's original Brown and Sharpe because of the shapes of the cutouts which match other Brown and Sharpe combination squares. Assuming this is a Brown and Sharpe, was this possibly a military surplus item? What years did they make them in this color?
