Has anyone ever used Brown Tool Auction to move a large lot of tools? If so, how did it go? Has anyone ever attended their auction? How were they to deal with as a buyer? or any business with them for that matter..

The Brown auction and Martin Donnelly are the big boys in the antique tool auction world. I have attended a few auctions, and dealt with both over the years with no complaints.

The Brown is under new ownership which should help "modernize" their operation a little more with online bidding, etc.

I've sold mostly thru Donnelly, and know he will come pick up large lots of tools.

Thanks for the response. Brown indicates they will pick up as well. I'll look into Donnelly before I make a final decision. The folks at Brown were decent enough on the phone and able to answer all my questions without issue. Brown came recommended to me from my local WoodCraft connection.

Edit: Their idea of large lot of tools may be different than mine. I'll add that to my list of questions.
