It's definetly a 2 stage inline style like the 212 but I dont have many good pics to compare it to. Might go see it this weekend.

I'd love to hunt down a manual for it and also find out if parts are available if needed. I have done some research and it seems brunner parts are out there but not easy to find. The biggest thing is I cant find anything about a model V30 at all. Dont even know for sure if it is a brunner.

The flywheel and crankcase definately say Brunner to me. This compressor is post 1954. I have a 1954 service manual in pdf format and the compressor models stopped with the letter T.

The only Brunner parts I've been able to find were on eBay. They are quite scarce.

Ok thanks kam. I still might be interested in this machine if the price is right. I have a CH 2 stage 5hp pump sitting in my garage that needs a rebuild. I know I can get parts for it. If I can get his cheap enough I can always use it until it dies then put the CH pump on instead.

I recently purchased the same compressor. I know this thread is old as hell but as far as Brunner info goes it's one of the few out there. Anyone reads this. Who knows what a v30 is in terms of size. It would be much appreciated. It came with a seven and a half horsepower motor but I feel it's terribly overpowered. And likely either

Thanks so much for the info. A bit confusing to a lay man like me. I see the h30 or v30 indicates a model of complete compressor. I also see the 212 is rated for 1.5 to 2hp and 414 for 3-5 HP. I see no other pumps noted. Does this indicated the head is a 414? I cannot find that stamp.

Brunner models were designated with a small sheet metal tag held on with one of the block bolts. They inevitably go awol creating havoc in their wake come repair time. If the package is in its original configuration it would be a 414.

You're insight is very much appreciated. I have a relatively new lesson 7.5 horsepower, compressor motor and if I follow the data in the document provided, looks like I can get some decent CFM if I increase the RPM slightly at the pump so I might give that a go.

A little update.
Mostly for any lost souls such as myself seeking out information between what appears to be the 2 non-v 2 stage pumps that Brunner made, at least towards the end of their run; 212 and 414. I believe there were many valve iterations but I am just focusing on size.

My v30 appears to be a 212. It's spindle center is exactly 4 inches from base, and air intake port center to base is 16 3/16 inches. Not to mention there is a questionable tag on it which i will post here. A dead give away seems to be a 3 belt vs 2, but those get changed often.

There are lots of measurements to go off of but i think these are the most noteworthy. Mine could have been swapped from a different tank @ some point, as anything I could find on the 4 manuals I have collected clearly states anything with "30" = 3hp SHOULD be with a 414 pump. whereas all "20" and below appear to be with the 212 pump. Please someone correct me if I am wrong! but the air it is making in it's current state is less than 10 cfm.
