He's not a metalworker, you don't need the spanner wrench on the Makita. All these tool-less nuts are gimmicks.

The rotating battery on the Metabo is awesome!

The Milwaukee paddle switches are horribly awkward.

I don't understand the whole "braking" thing, the "regular" Milwaukee Fuels already "ratchet" down WAY WAY faster than any corded grinder. edit: and they don't offer the braking option on the slide switch models, so no way I'll ever own it.

Very interesting that cutting wheels were lasting noticeably longer on the Metabo.

I got bored at 8:16 and stopped the video. Get to the freaking point, people!

ive got 2 of the Milwaukee brushless grinders with the paddle switch and one Milwaukee non fuel grinder with the paddle. I love it because its easy to turn off. sometimes working on stuff the switch on top is hard to reach to turn it off.

Yeah. I just read the article instead of watching the video.

Good news for all the guys who have Snap-On 18v is they've been rebranding Metabo grinders....it's possible they'll extend this over to their 18v system.

Yeah, it's REAL easy because if you just barely lessen the pressure of your grip it cuts out. That's my other complaint - WAY too sensitive, as if they used a Servo micro-switch. Extremely unforgiving for switching your grip or maneuvering the grinder. These are the good old paddles which worked as they should; hinges at the FRONT, collapses at the REAR, and the safety flips BACK:

My 2781-21 kit was $299.....as Milwaukee inexplicably is fond of at least $100 per battery on average, even in a 2 battery kit, it's pretty much inline w the Metabo at $450 if that has two batteries. Since the 2781 is now "so last week" w the introduction of the wonderful braking 2783, it just came w a 4.0 battery (Valley Girl voice: "4.0 is so ratchet"), so w 5.2ah batts the Metabo initially sounds expensive but relative to the market it's not.

That one isn't brushless, but still topped all the brushless ones when tested last year.

I wonder how their brushless one performs with the non-LiHD batteries.

School me on why a brushless is superior to brush type motor. I know they are, but why? Thanks.

I picked up the 2781-21 for $199. Best time to buy is when Milwaukee runs their $100 trade in deals, like they're doing now.
