Brushless - Makita and Dewalt too....

Milwaukee Fuel has clearly made a big splash in the market with brushless motors. Makita and Dewalt also have brushless but you hardly hear about it.

Makita also has new bigger batteries (4 AH) that are pretty much invisible in retail stores.

Why doesn't Makita get more retail traction?

makita has always had tons of retail traction, if anything milwaukee is catching up to makita still in terms of cordless lineup.

dewalt you don't hear too much about because they still push their 18v nicd, and their regular 20vmax setup.

Bosch also has Brush-less it's the latest technology now a days!
