Picked up a Buck Bros hammer the other day was so rusty and the leather so dry and crumbly I couldn't tell what brand it was until I got it home and cleaned it .
Does anyone sell leather washer kits for these ?
I'm finding washers for knives but they don't seem large enough for a hammer.
Thanks for the help.

Is that just an estwing rebranded as a buck? Not sure that helps any but another place to look. I suppose you could just cut all the leather discs yourself stack them up and press them down really really hard.

Problem solved . Nothing to brag about but not too bad for first attempt . Bought the hammer for a quarter, bought 6 leather belts at a garage sale for $1.25 and now have a nice 68 yr old hammer. It's 2 mos. older than me lol.

I like the belt idea. I went and bought some scrap cow hide but it is much thicker. I am going to mix the belt leather for a WWII trench knife I have. Thanks, Great job.

FWIW, when grinding, it's much more difficult to approximate the OEM handle profile than one might think.
