Hey all, been snooping around here for a while and getting a ton of ideas, thanks to everyone for sharing their garages and all the info!!

So, in my past life I was a automotive machinist and a diesel mechanic, and always had a place to work on things, while I still wanted a shop at home, it was put on the back burner because I could get by doing stuff at the work shop. Well a career change about 10 years ago, and realizing I cant spend another winter locked in my house, it's time to get something done. So here starts my build thread.

I hired out the shell of the building, too much for me to handle, and too much to ask for from friends. I will do the prep for the floor, insulate, run pipe for in-floor heat ect (a couple of friends do this for a living), then hire someone to pour it. I am doing this as the budget allows, and my refinance didn't come back quite a nicely as I wanted, so it will a step by step process. I hope to have the building up with concrete poured before winter, insulation and interior work might have to wait until funds regenerate.

Out with the old 22X22 "garage"
