Recently I upgraded my jack and stands. I liked the ESCO stands but couldn't stomach the cost (>$150/pair). After some research I found that the Camco Olympian stands were very similar and at a small fraction of the cost. 6000 lb capacity, welded steel, pin adjustments (PLUS jack screws for minor adjustments), very good construction. A few weeks ago they were $33/pair delivered, but now at about $50:

I cut the top few inches off mine and welded a new round saddle, yielding a minimum height of 14" (versus 16" stock height). Plus I bought a pair of urethane pads---total investment was $50.

BTW, the square block sitting on the top of one of the jacks is the adapter I use to fit my BMW's factory jackpoint.

I included a pic of ESCO stands for comparison.
