looking at getting a power/pressure washer for personal automative washing, and general around the house use....

Have a $2-300 budget. Would rather spend less, as it wont get used a lot, but i dont want to buy ****, either.

Any recommendations from personal use? Or should I look for something used on craigslist?

If you want gas - Costco, Sam's club or a lightly used model on Craigslist. If electric , AR BLUE, or just an 1800 - 2000 psi model from husky, just don't expect it to last forever.

Electric, I own three gas powered washers and they have not been used in three years. I have convinced 2 other friends to purchase electric for around the house general duty use and they agree. I use the Electric for car washing, house cleaning, driveway, boat dock all around general use. The wife can also use it with no problems.......

I like my Karcher... its not a professional unit but has served me wel for all purposes around house, car boat.

I have a now 7 year old model that sees heavy use during the summers. From the car to the brick driveway, and paving to the dingy etc.

@ $300 theres a lot of reasonably powerful models...

That said I think this one at +- half the budget should suit the round the house and car needs nicely.
