Hi,
Bought this as I wanted a decent but economical 3-Jaw Gear Puller.

Hardly ever use one but when you need it nothing else will do.

Where these made in Taiwan???

I don't know what "Rinks" is?

Buffalo was a brand name used by a company that travelled all over the USA like a band of Gypsies. They would do advance advertising announcing a sale to be held in a building leased for a weekend, and set up semi-loads of displays. The tools were cheap Asian knock-offs, and there was no product support. Then they disappeared into the night.

Notice the price printed on the box. "Mechanic's net price $99.99" which is more than ten times the price of the same thing sold by Globemaster!

Hi,
I have a 1960's CAROLINA 30T Shop Press.

I think every Gas Station had one in the back when I was a Kid.

Think they were sold by traveling Salemen back then.

This Puller is all I need and at a price I was looking for.

Should be better than HF from CHINA!

I owned a Buffalo Brand bench grinder for years. Bought it a a flea market at the fairgrounds. It worked fine for 25 years or so that I had it and still working fine when I sold it. I assembled many pinion and quill assemblies on a Carolina press just like that one while building speed reducers. You press fit the pinion then cross drill and install a roll pin. Brings back good memories.

These buffalo brand tools were the precursor to Harbor Freight, DIY guys loved these back in the 80's and 90's. Cheaper quality tools yes but tons of shade tree mechanics picked these up.

Hi,
Well received my 8" Puller and really more than I needed but also has a 4" option on the Puller Arms so used that and it worked great!

VERY heavy built Puller and looks quality.

Still had to heat the Hub I was pulling but the Puller finally had it's way.

I think for the Money spent ($20) I did very well, and now have the Tool when I need it.

If you need a economical Puller but one that works well, this would be the way to go, I think!

Carolina was some kind of pyramid scheme ............my boss's son at the tractor yard was going to sign up for a dealership ....I talked him out of it ,cause when his old man found out ,there would have been fireworks.
