Just picked this up for 100.00 on craigslist. No broken parts, a nice worktable and it weighs at least 350lbs if not more. The motor has been replaced and a jackshaft is running the pulley for extra speeds. Whoever did the motor swap did a good job and I dont plan on removing it.
What time period is this press from? 1930's? 1940's?
These are pics from his ad. I will take some better pics once its unloaded.

You guessed pretty much what I'd have guessed, but small DP design didn't change much from 1930-1960.

Show us a photo of the jackshaft.

There's been one for sale locally for over a year, and the guy will not come down from $600.
