buffer question

what do you use a bench top buffer for?

I read good buffers use 1700 RPM and most cheap buffers run 3450 RPM? (under $100)

Only buffer I used had a pulley driven arbor on the table top, and a whatever motor underneath.

They can be used for many things including, polishing metal parts such as water pumps, intakes, misc small items. They can also be used to polish plastic items such as taillights.

Eastwood seems to carry everything need to to polish just about anything.

I have a few buffing pads laying around and when i need them I stick them in my drill press to polish parts

That... and use the screwgun to polish the car.

I use an 8 in wheels. Cloth wheel to buff, scotchbrite to polish and debur, wire wheel to clean rusty threaded parts, and grinding wheels to sharpen. All at 3450 rpm
