Buffing

came here hoping to find a recommendation on buffing wheels for a 6" 1/2" shaft grinder. Bought several grades from a local hardware, and they throw cotton fibers everywhere. They don't want to take rouge either so I end up slinging red rouge and cotton everywhere when polishing something like a piece of brass. Never had this trouble when I was a kid using one. Don't know if I have lost the touch, or if I am just getting wheels that fall apart. There was a you tube one day where someone had a nice kit of wheels and they worked great but I never thought at the time to write the brand down. Any recommendations?

Buy a taper shaft adapter, and then buy buffing wheels from a supplier that specializes in that sort of thing.
