Hello all -
I found this forum while searching for info on a build I'm starting. I'm getting a late start for NY build but I hope to be framed and working on interior stuff before the true dead of winter. I'm planning a 28 x 34 garage which is the biggest I can do considering site / zoning restrictions.
The primary purpose of this build is to complete an in progress full restoration of a 1954 Ford Sunliner that my dad bought new in 54. My dad and I have restored many cars together over the years but always either in a driveway, or at off site locations. Neither of us ever had a working garage. He passed away a little more than a year ago so it's time to begin the build in his memory.
He always said it was his dream to have his own shop to work in. I am retired from law enforcement after my 27 year career ended when I was struck by a drunk driver breaking my hips and back. Having a clean, dry working space with a lift will allow me to finish the car without too much bending and laying on my back.
I will post pictures of the build as it progresses and look forward to becoming an active and contributing member of this group.
