Anyone have any idea on how to build one of these. I have seen somone use an old vacuum cleaner retractable reel from the power cord. Thanks,

Not for me, there is enough goes wrong with commercial ones let alone one fashioned from vac cleaner parts, not heavy unless you would restrict it to a light. I would be buying one with a UL listing on it.

Darkside...I know your on the other side of the island but PRINCESS AUTO has retractable drop lites on sale in the new flyer for $24.99...down from $34.99.
They ship for a flat rate of $4.00 plus I think $0.40 cents a pound and the retractable light isn't that heavy.
Might be worth a call at...

I know Lar from years ago when he had the 409 57 Chevy hardtop and the GSX Stage 1 etc...he drops up whenever he's in St Johns.
