HI All,
I am in the process of building a house and as part of the build I have included a 30x40 pole barn (14 foot walls) that my builder will be building for me.
I will eventually want an office, bathroom and possible a loft in the shop and I am debating doing it myself. I have asked that the plumbing is stubbed out for toilet and sink for when I am ready.
So I asked the builder for a quote to add a 10x10 office, 5x5 bathroom and a loft all the way across the back of the shop. He came back with around $7500 for Framing, Drywall, Trim, Loft & Stairs.
So now I am on the fence, is this something that one would take on themselves ? I am pretty confident that I could frame the Office & Bathroom but I am not sure about the loft & stairs. Does $7500 sound reasonable to have it done or should I bid it out as a separate project later?
Thanks
