Just thought I would share..

IT's been a hell ride to get done - and no project goes perfect, but I thought I would share a quick video from the build.

Nice looking shop! Curious why you poured the floor after framing?

Ruh-roh, now youre gonna start a favorite debate amongst builders. JME, but many contractors today pour the floor before bc 1. its a bit more difficult to do inside afterward in some cases (esp basements) and 2. they like to work on concrete vs fill. OTOH, historically I believe floors were mostly poured afterward primarily to 1. give time for the fill to settle before the pour and 2. to help control precipitation and temperature swings. In both cases it helps prevent future cracking, settling, and shrinking, and is how we always did it.

It was the GC's decision, and I was told it was due to weather. The forcast was ran for a month on and off and he was worried about how the floor would finish.
