Just starting to get a plan together on my shop after 10 years of waiting.
I'm looking at doing a 4/12 roof pitch. My goal is to put 14' wide lean-to's on each side of the building. One of which is for our (very) large 43' 5th wheel toyhauler. It has a height of 13.5' (air conditioner) So to accommodate that, I calculated a 18' tall requirement. Due to snow load, building codes, etc I will be using 2x8's for the side walls. I am still undecided on 2x6's or 2x8's for the end walls.

I guess where I'm going with this is if anyone else is running 18' walls? I just want to be sure I am not overlooking something?

No help here but would love to see some photos when you kick this project off. That's a gall garage. Good luck REPO!
