So, planning on throwing the extra treadmill motor onto the Atlas. I have no idea if it’ll have enough ‘umpph’ but the outside the scope of this post.
Needing a controller and not wanting it to be dedicated to any one thing I decided to get creative. (For me anyway).

Picked up and old metal tool box
A “DC Motor Governor” off Banggood
An MC2100 controller
Digital rpm meter
A switch, and a few extra bits.

Y’all might realize.. that governor is not a PWM signal generator, or is it?
This guy I found on Banggood for a paltry $7.50, is intended to be just that, a dc motor controller. Up to 12A, or 340 watts, but the board has a few extra outputs.
PWM, A1, A2, 0-10vcd and some grounds. As well as a header for a wifi module! I did not opt for the wifi, pretty sure I don’t want a rando Chinese app on my phone, even though it does look pretty neat.

Anyway supposedly the controller needs a load before the PWM output will work, however in testing that’s not true.

Mine is getting its 12vdc power from the MC2100 and it only connected to the 2100 via the blue PWM and a ground wire. Nothing is terminated for the motor outputs on the Governor.

SoI pulled some pins off a board out of the treadmills user controls, and grabbed the 4 pin connector (not shown in pic) off the incline motor. Fits like a glove.
