Going to be moving my tools into a friends 50x70x16 farm shop starting next week, for now it'll just be my 56" HF box but i'm working on buying a 72" Homak to replace it. My goal is to build a self-contained work area since its not my shop and i don't want to take up more room than i have to. Want to keep my box, creepers, stool, radio, parts/filters/oil, etc... all in my area. Even though its not an actual shop i want to keep everything clean, organized, and professional looking. Thinking about doing the lower 6ft portion all in some sort of pegboard, preferably stainless, and then putting up LED under cabinet lights to mimic the look of the hutch. Would also be nice to have an easy way to drape plastic or actual curtains around the lower portion for when we're painting or cleaning equipment. For actual storage i'm thinking shelves every 16" above that, and using 5 gallon jugs to store oil, trans fluid, and coolant with spouts so i can just fill a container and go versus having a stack of gallon jugs to deal with.

As for the actual shelf i want to stay in the 30-36" depth range, 8ft wide,-and 9-10ft tall. Would be nice to use a tall pallet rack to just set full pallets of parts up, but that depends on me finding cheap pallet racking to use. Otherwise i'm leaning towards building it out of lumber.

I tried doing a quick search as free time is hard to come by and nothing really jumped out at me. Just looking for idea's/input on this. Gonna try to make a sketch of what i want over the next couple days if i get time, but i'm hoping to get started on building something next month. Although next month will turn into next year. :willy_nil
