Building a pegboard for workbench

Um you probably have the peg board up...


I would seriously consider/recommend cutting the 1x2 across existing wall receptacle, boxing around it to access. Put the cover back on wall or a metal cover plate, they are a bit smaller than the plastic ones. You could use the cut peg board as an access panel to wall plug, screw or hinge or just box it in painted leaving open.

Impressed if you got frame up and still square to pegboard with all the cutouts. I would have temp attached pegboard to frame, minimally nailed to wall, remove pb to finish screwing frame to wall- but likely and extra hand needed.

So after finishing finals and waiting for the electrician to come by and give the go ahead I am finally back to working on my project. I have all the electricity set up and am now using the 3 extra outlets! Im still getting all the compressor outlets figured out but ill keep yall updated on that. So glad to get back to work on this project!!

I bought my first compressor with a lot of recycled soda cans.

I see compressors being advertised at Harbor Freight for as little as $40.

I'm saving up to buy a new conpressor so I currently do not have one. Do you happen to know of any ways to do a leak check without an air compressor? Thanks!!

Bicycle tire pump to pressurize. Spray/brush a soap and water mix on the joints. Any leaks will show up immediately in the form of bubbles.

Well Ive had a busy summer but I made some headway. I finished the air compressor outlet and currently have the paint drying for the other outlet. Im pleased with the look of it other than my paint job cause Im not the best at painting.

I don't know if this has been said already, but for hooks, go with Talon Hooks. I've been using them for about 8 years now, and I've NEVER had one fall out.
