For those of you who have a toolbox you ordered from a tool truck brand, did you order it through your tool truck guy, online or over the phone? Did you feel like you got a great deal? Did you get a free trial with a loaner? Is it common to finance? I don't see how one couldn't when boxes cost as much or more than some cars which is crazy IMO, but I still think they are badass and the centerpiece of a mechanics prized possessions.
Matco has a nifty toolbox configurator on their website, and is the brand I would like to own given my favorite hand tools are Matco. I configured a Matco 6 triple bay box 46"H x 76.5"W x 28"D in white of course (thanks Warmpancakes for inspiring me to post this) and customized it for what I would like. Price of this configuration is over $13,000.00 after tax and not sure of delivery charges.
That's some serious coin and anything bigger will only go up in price (I've seen boxes on here that dwarf what I built). I can't imagine paying full retail though, so what experience do you have in ordering your box? Get a hefty discount?
I'm not pulling the trigger anytime soon on this and won't for a long time, but I am in the transition phase of my life working towards a new career and a career in the automotive field is calling my name.
I appreciate any helpful feedback with those who have experience with this.
