Howdy,
Much to my wife's dismay, we're building another garage before we build a house (currently live in the finished upstairs of a 28x46 garage).
This one is a 30x50x17 corrugated, half-round, steel building. Ugly as sin in my opinion, but the price was right, and I need a taller building for a lift.
Questions on this style of structure:
How exactly does it anchor? I've seen references to a trench in the footing, references to angle iron, etc, but I've never seen any real details on the two, which is better, etc.
Can a few of us build it using a few tractors with FEL's and youthful exuberance?
Can I add windows or doors in the sides by headering it off some sort of way or is destined to be like a bunker forever and ever?
How does one insulate one of these things?
Also, in a 30x50, assuming a door on each end, where would y'all put the lift? My buddy has his dead center and its in the way a lot...I sort of like the idea of off to one side at a bit of an angle.
Thanks
