You must work in an office without windows
and the radio plays the same song (It never rains in cal)

no I think you are right but it did once

thanks for the visit

Don

What part of SOCAL? I'm in Long Beach. I think it rains about 6 days a year here. I try to look outside at least once a day, but I am usually inside watching movies or playing in my recording studio. I do drive with the top down a lot though!

Man Don!! Not a lot a average guy can say to that setup, except Holy Paradise Batman!

For a guy like me with the type of things I like, I'd love to be you and have all that to share with friends and family.

Very Impressive, I'm going to be watching to see what else you have up your sleeve.

Mm

They just keep getting bigger and better/crazier.....

In my 5 years here, Garage Journal has gone from: "Wow, those Stainless Lista cabinets are beautiful", to "Wow - that 25,000sf barn with attached Sinclair/Bob's Big-Boy barn is..."

Did you already say what you do when you're not paving the earth over ;) ?? I think peoples "back-story" is going to become more interesting than the next big building.

since I do the majority of the work myself I don't have time for much else
I do enjoy building cars and boats
In my past life I owned bodyshops and tow companys
20 years of 20 hour days 7days a week so this is a very welcomed break

thanks for asking
Don

Riverside, I got a parking ticket there back in '89-90, I was there cruising some friends from Norton AFB.

I'm noticing something here and I don't know the answer. I know whenever we've done an inspection (fire dept) outlets within 6 feet of a sink need to be GFCI protected some how. I see you have a breaker box with in that range. :headscrat

The detail around the garage doors made a huge difference!

It looks like you had a lot of fun putting this together.
Yes I agree with the door trim and the diamond / grass aproach it did soften the tin building look

and yes this beats working I needed something to think about though

thanks Don

So It's almost time to party
the diner is working and the big building needs attention
the east wall is blank and my reason for the building was storage of collectables and cars so what to do with the blank wall ???
Build out store fronts like an old down town street with sidewalk and lamp posts and stuff

I am humbled by your efforts sir! Bottom feeder? No way. I think you have a keen eye for collectibles and know how to negotiate well and that you know it all takes hard work. Oh, and did I also say a ton of talent to boot? Yes sir, that is the ticket.

Very cool building and very cool to share all that you are doing too.

My best,

Ody.

Eric all I can say is Hummm must have been an oversight

sorry bout the ticket but don't take it out on me OK.

Thanks man
Don

The ticket is no biggie, the officer marked Ca instead of writing in Ohio. So if some poor sap in Cali had the same plate as me, he got the fine. :lol_hitti

The electrical box is an oh-well, it is what it is. Just make sure people be careful around it spraying water and such. If an inspector comes through for anything else and sees it, don't say a word about it and play stupid. It got past one inspector already I'd assume.
