Well I run a home based automotive/ commercial/ residential window film company we also do custom vinyl wraps with my two sons. We have just outgrown our smaller garage. I come from a life long obsession for any type of custom car or truck from model A's to Aventadors. My boys have the same love. They are focused more on the tuner life. And I come from a minitruckin/lowrider background in suspension fab. We currently cram my 67 impala, 63 beetle, project fiero, my wifes 64 impala and my sons 370z in my current 25x40. I need more room for larger jobs such as motoromes, bigrigs, and boats that we tint. Attatching the 48x80 to the 25x40 and splitting it down the middle to separate business from pleasure. Lift, welder, plasma cutter, benches and dirty work area separated from the tint shop ultra sano ,clean ,epoxy'd flooring, finished and painted walls, grid lighting ceiling and walls for a high end look with small office area.

Directly from my phone

First off welcome aboard and congrats on the new shop. As for pic’s you’re one more post away from being allowed too. When you post use the “go advanced” reply post and click on the paper clip icon and you’ll figure it out.

Please keep us informed, I particularly am interested in businesses that start in garages; Like Disney and Hewlett Packard.

Great size! I have a question about the framing, it looks like stud walls bolted to the concrete slab but at the same time it has girts like a post-frame building. How do the framers develop the racking/shear strength of the walls? Are they going inside with plywood/osb or X-bracing with metal strapping?

Well, its square they even put in a little Saturday time today to get the rear wall of the old shop attatchment LVLs installed and wall prepped to tear out. Trusses being set first thing Monday morning. Still on track to be done and out by Thanksgiving. I could not be happier with the job so far as well as the work ethic of this 5 man crew. I have never dealt with an Amish family owned and operated contractor, but so glad I made that choice
(It was 23° and drizzle today lol)20201114_142029_HDR~2.jpeg20201114_142310_HDR~2.jpeg20201114_142341_HDR.jpeg

Glad you asked buddy. My family operates a Automotive/ residential/ commercial window tinting/ vynil vehicle wrap shop called INTINTZ. www.facebook.com/INTINTZ We are also heavily invovled in custom cars. We have been running the shop out of our 3 car garage and we need more space to get more done. My sons 21 and 16 work with me and my wife is office operator. It will be split up with a wall that separates work from play 2 post lift welder and tools. The work side we are planning on being show shop worthy and the play side will be more user hard work friendly
Looks awesome, and they're moving fast! Give us some more details on what you're envisioning, what's going in it, etc
