Building My Garage, Good Price?

Hello all,

I'm building my garage this summer and I'd like to get a few opinions.

I have attached a picture of the invoice for the pole building.

In addition to that, I'm having a contractor level the site, put in a stone driveway about 100ft long, remove a 40ft tall tree and do the concrete work inside the garage for $7400.

My total is around $19,000 not including doing the electrical work.

Those more knowledgeable than me, does this seem like a fair price?

Anything you'd change? 10' wide garage doors maybe?

I'd strongly consider some overhangs. Keeps things much drier, looks better

To consider: is the 4ft truss spacing sufficient for a future ceiling? Do you need stub conduits for electrical service + low voltage (cable/Cat5)?

I'm not planning on putting up a ceiling. As far as stub conduit, I have no idea.

If you ever plan to put heat in it, you will need a ceiling. Living in PA you have cold winters and a heater is cheap.

If you have heat in your home you will want heat in garage. Insulate, vapour barrier and drywall or you'll be one of those looking "how to heat cheap" down the road

You guys are right, I should just do it right.

Bigger door for sure. High lift set up too. I did a 10x10 on end of my 24x32 and wish it was at least 12’ wide.
