Grading for my 18x40 metal tube garage is happening today. Hopefully by first of next week concrete will be poured. Have a few questions.

1. Should I have them do a power trowel finish or brush similar to a driveway?

2. Right know I am leaning toward treating with Ghostshield 8510. Not really worried about looks more just keeping concrete protected. Any other recommendations?

3.If I go with Ghostshield 8510 whats best to use to clean up spills of say oil. I know this should be done asap to keep from penetrating sealer but wondering what to use to help clean up without damaging or lowering lifespan of sealer.

4. Opinion on rolling mats. I had debated putting them in whole garage but I have been leaning toward maybe just going with a 8.5" piece down the center like where lift is to help protect floor. I just see to many videos of them rolling up. I assume some double sided tape could solve that.

Thanks guys for any input

definitely a trowel finish, your knees and elbows will thank you, brush is rough.

most coatings for concrete need the concrete to cure first.

Yes I will wait a at least a month for it to cure before putting a sealer on it .

I am talking about the garage rollout rubber mats. A lot of the sites sell them as an option between sealer/epoxy and the hard tiles

Brush/broom finish is only if you expect the floor to be wet most of the time. Even then you can always add a nonslip coating to a smooth floor but it’s hard to smooth out a rough finish.
