Hey guys,

I'm having my garage floor poured this week. The building will be 24' X 34' with a 10' X 24' man cave/ office in back and a 24' X 24' garage. Contractor knows I plan to put down an epoxy floor in the garage area. Office will be carpeted. He asked if I wanted the floor to have exposed joints or should he fill them in with concrete after he cuts them?

I trust him and am not worried about him actually cutting the joints if he fills them in after, I'm just wondering which route you guys suggest?

-Have the joints left open and fill them in with materials epoxy suppliers suggest when I install epoxy?
-Save myself the trouble and let him fill the joints with concrete after they're cut?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I don’t like this as it will leave a crack when/if floor cracks. I filled with silkaflex and epoxied over it. Cut my joints with a circular saw so really thin.
