Hi everyone this is my first post.
I am in the planning stage of building a workshop. I was originally going for a pole barn but with the price of excavation for my property as much as the pole barn I am looking at other options. One is building a workshop/shed off the side of my driveway on piers. I am thinking a 16x24 or somewhere around that size. I am looking for suggestions on this type of construction like post size and distance between each one. The back of the building would be about 8 ft off the ground. This would be stick built with wood floor. The biggest thing I would have in this is a motorcycle lift with motorcycle and riding mower. I would also like to have some woodworking equipment. My other option would be build the pole barn and put a drive in later. The only problem with this is getting a concrete truck close enough for the floor. My drive is about 50 ft away and the yard drops down about 10ft. I can dive a pick up down it but don't know about a concrete truck.
