let me start off by saying i am an amateur welder, so i will be asking alot of questions

i have 2 main machines. the first is a HF 170 Mig. its running on a 25/75 mix with Lincoln wire.

the second machine is a Everlast 250ex which is running on a 100% argon mix.

the chassis dyno is a land and sea water brake. it has dual 12" rollers. it came with some very basic/short removable ramps. long story short, someone backed a heavy truck over them and bent them pretty good. i straighten them out the best i could, but i would really love to build a level platform.

i found some pics of someone elses dyno that is similar to mine. looks like they have a simple platform set up with removable ramps. this is what i want to build.

i haven taken exact measurements but the ramps will be about 12 ft long and 2ft 6" wide each (want to fit duallys). the will only have to stand maybe 1.5-2' tall.

i am pretty sure this project will be 100% miged. i like the grate tops the example platform has but on mine twords the end will be some solid plat ad i want to incorporate some recessed d rings for tie down straps.

i will be sourcing some material over the next week or two. i will make sure to update pictures along the journey. i am open to any suggestions. once i get exact measurements i will have the metal supplier make all the exact cuts i will need.

The dyno ramps I used were similar is size. One had rubber pads as feet, the other had castors that had a lever to retract them on to the regular feet. For storage we would flip the one without castors on to the other and roll them around. They take up a lot of space so if you can build them light enough you could stand them up against the wall and save a lot of room.

And I doubt you need to make them that wide. Duallys will still go up and down it fine with only one tire on each ramp.

This was going to be my suggestion. Obviously it'll be a little easier to get onto the dyno with that width, but it'll make the cost of the ramps pretty high, and they'll be harder to move. Retracting casters is also a really good idea as per above. Wonder how much all the steel will be for the ramps
