Building small 20x10 room inside shop

Now that the shop is done, I am planning on building a small room on the inside. The room is going to be 20'x10' and 10' tall framed up with 2x4's. My question is do I need to anchor the treated 2x4 base plate to the concrete with actual anchor bolts (ex. redheads) or just use a hammerset to nail them in every so many feet?

I think Id use tapcons, I going to do the same with my 30x40 Next spring.

Almost any anchor will do, Tapcons, RedHeads, Ramset. I prefer the ramset because it is quick. Pay special attention to anchoring the shoe of the wall at either side of any door opening, that's where you will see the most lateral force applied to the wall from the closing of the door.

Using the ramset, what would be the ideal nail length....3"? Also, how often should I set an anchor, every 2 ft?

not a pro, but I went every 2 feet or so and used 3" nails in the ramset (wear ear protection and eye protection). Also, and again I'm not a pro and this may be overkill, I used liquid nails as well. My thought was that if I ever made a big enough spilling blunder in the garage side, I'd have a sealed wall that wouldn't allow whatever I spilled to get under the 2x4 into my finished space.

I'd probably just use liquid nails, you could use cut nails if you wants though. It's not going to see any wind load.

2 or 2/12 inch ramset nails, remember, they are working in shear, your wall is not going to fall UP! Be sure you use eye and ear protection. Every 2 or 3 feet is overkill maybe 4 feet or so, but remember to anchor both sides of any door openeing.

I built a similar room, roughly 25 x 16, in our barn. It provides air conditioned space with a bathroom/shower, living area and kitchenette. It was 2x4 framed and I shot 3" ramset washered nails about every four feet. Don't forget to use some foam sill sealer between the concrete and the sill plate. Here's how it looked on the way up:

Small ??? 10 X 20 room ? wouldn't that be a large 10 X 20 room?
