Built a little tiny motorcycle shop! Done!

10x16, 16in centers, 8.8/12 roof. Vinyl Siding. And check out my two new tool boxes! I am building a shelf right above them for storage. It's taken about 2 months ago by myself, a few hours here, an hour there, several full 10+ hour days, and it all adds up!

I have had basically zero experience prior. What I did was I would watch a few YouTube videos then go outside and work, rinse and repeat. I spent a LOT of money on new carpenter tools. Also used a lot of money worth of torx head screws for my M18 fuel impact.

Congratulate yourself for job well done. Looks great. You couldn't have gotten exactly the same outcome from a vendor like TuffShed but for them to get close, you would have spent a few grand. Don't ask my why I know.

That's awesome! Have you considered laying down some sort of floor (like plywood) to protect the concrete from oil/fluid spills? I'm just thinking for resale value if you ever decide to sell the house and the new owners move the shed off of the patio.

Yes tuff sheds are good quality. But no where near as strong as a custom built shed. They try to cut corners to bring cost down.

No I haven't considered it. Not yet, concrete slabs are the best/ ultimate floor and unless something catches my eye then the concrete is staying. I could epoxy it, but probably won't for a long time if I do.

Haha nice catch! I was wondering if someone would notice. I found it on Craigslist for $75!in my opinion that was an amazing deal! It really is great quality and made of metal. And a little window. I love the door. It gave me a Grey color to match the trim with. But yeah money well spent. I couldn't make a door better than a Tuff Shed door, they are probably the best shed door I have ever seen. Plenty wide enough for a motorcycle to pass along.

How did you get the siding installed with it that close to the house?

The back you can walk behind it there's a 2.5 foot gap. The right side the rear 1/3rd you can't access, I was able to do what I needed with my arms though.

The ridge beam is a 2x10x18 (2ft overhang) and I used rafter ties and hurricane straps on each rafter. I think they work much better verses toe nailing and splitting wood, especially if you need to move one after the fact.

Congratulations on your build, sounds like you jumped-in, both feet, and the 'deep-end.'

Are you a biker previously, or is this the first? There are a lot of cheap deals out there, especially if you know something about mechanical repairs.

The CB350 is clean. Someone bought it and didn't ride it. I have a couple of its parents, patiently waiting their turns for refurbishment. Also a Big Brother, who (figuratively) went to England for a course in handling and aesthetics, roadracer-style.
