Fed up with carrying my welders out to where I need them so decided to build a welding cart, Luckily my wife runs a mobility store and I had a old disabled scooter laying around which I stripped down and so had a perfect 4 wheeled chassis with suspension and steering. I then turned the steering around so I could adjust the steering column frontwards for pulling. I found an old parts bin trolley and took the wheels off and fitted spur shelving to one side and then welded it to the chassis. I also had a british army toolbox which was khaki so I sprayed it yellow then fitted it to the back of the chassis after fitting some scrap bits of aluminium sheet. I also added a snap on side shelf that wasn't being used and I used some off cuts of 2.1/2 copper tube as welding stick holders. I am really pleased with the way it turned out and it pulls great.

Very cool. I especially like the drawers for various supplies. I am ashamed of my simple little homemade cart now.

That is awesome...., it took me a minute to figure out exactly what all I was looking at. We need a video of it in action!

I'm not sure if i'm more impressed with the finished product or your self control to not try and keep it motorized.

Thats great.

Now tell your wife to stop selling those to fat lazy people that try and run you over on the sidewalk and get pissed if you do not move out of the way fast enough.

That's pretty cool. I took an old wheelchair and made a welding cart out of it. Works very well and rolls extremely easy. Oh and cowtown, you can go to the top of the page and click on "thread tools" and then click on subscription and then you can access it anytime you want.
