I've been reading and lurking for a while now. I thought I would post some pictures of my welding table that I just built. I wanted to build a welding table that can be stored in the side are of my garage and was somewhat mobile so that I could move it to the door when I wanted to work on stuff. The top is 20" x 48". With the casters on it is approximately 43" high. This might be too high for some people but after researching a little, my goal was around 40-42". I am 6'5" so the height is good for me. I used 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" for the tubing. The top is 1/2". The vise is an oldie that my buddy gave me. I have a few other vises that I may add at different locations. I wanted to keep the top clear of things so I could maximize it. I will probably leave the table unpainted but oiled so as to not rust. I may extend the bottom area for storage of small metal pieces and metal working tools. I may also add a small mid section work bench under the table for tool storage.
