My friends and I built this Vietnam Gun Truck replica for The Kansas Museum of Military History, using only the tools available to the troops in Vietnam.

Very cool! What city is that museum in? I might have to take a detour next time I'm in Kansas.

Augusta Kansas. East of Wichita. My jeep is currently there, until I can get it moved to my new garage in OK.

The house I bought has a 35x35 metal shop out behind the house. I just got all the **** from moving out of the shop and hope to get my jeep home now that I have room.

Looks good. Wish you could have done a "quad-.50" but I know all about museum budgets. Great work!

Nice truck. I think Steel Soldiers has a whole sub-forum dedicated to the gun trucks. Lots of great info, and some incredible recreations, over there. Might want to check them out as well.

When you say the tools available what does that consist of? I am interested in what they would have had in the motor pool at that time.
