Built me a Table Saw Cart

Found a chunk of plywood, some cedar, some 2x4's, some 2x6's, and 2 casters and came up with this. Came home from church at 8, changed, ate a snack, went out in the garage and i was done by 9. It's nothing special, just a cheapo table saw but it's been getting on my nerves how this table saw sits up on a shelf and when we need it down, you got to climb up there and fight with the cords and stuff. I might make another cart for our 2 miter saws.

Looks great! Possibly add a couple dowels on the upper 1x cross brace and you have a place to store blades out of the way...

26" front, 20" rear. i also put plywood to cover up the middle and i have a rear rack on the back. I also took off the chain tensioner and shortened the chain. Oh and i have handlebars from a little kids bike that have a rise in them and i have a windshield on it and an office chair for a seat. i'll post pics when i get home

I don't use my TS and miter saw as much as I used to, so I made a cart similar to yours, but built the miter box into the bottom- it pulls out for use. I put a piece of particle board on top of the table saw, as it seems to get more use as a mobile work station than a saw, for the moment. Of course, if you use yours more frequently, than a separate stand would be much better.

I got a metal stand for my miter saw. I use that when it needs to be portable. Otherwise it sits on the bench attached to my radial arm saw. They share the same table and fence.

I've got a little table saw like that one as well. I built a cabinet for it with a drawer directly under the motor to collect sawdust. It sure keeps the sawdust down when I use it.

I like the stand. I'm about to do the same for my recently purchased miter saw. Plan to build my own extensions too.

lutheran churches that get very packed, they have 2 sunday services, 1 thursday night, and 1 saturday night
