Well, I feel a little bit like a bandit after scoring some cool stuff for free in the last week and a half, with more to come by next week. I figured some of you might like looking at the stuff, since it's right up our alley as tool guys.
I'm not sure what sizes square steel tubing comes in, but this stuff seems to measure about 1.5" or a bit less. I'll probably replace the wooden boards that serve as the top now with one or two sheets of plywood.
I thought it was neat that the back of the bench is setup for outlets. Do I need to hard-wire these, or is there any safe and legal way to connect them to a heavy duty extension cord? This would be after I install new outlets of course; these seem old.
I needed a grease gun on Friday, and paid $17 for one identical to that pictured here at the auto store. Dammit! The box has a few cans of ZEP engine cleaner and some really good foaming orange degreaser, plus a couple other things.
Pictured here are a steel storage unit with, I think, 27 drawers (three are missing.) It does flex if you twist it, but it was holding a heck of a lot of stuff in its previous location, so I am sure it will serve my needs as well. I could also brace the back if the flex bothered me. Also pictured is a heavy duty cart that at one time carried racks of bread, as I understand it. The casters have two zerk fittings; quality stuff.
One grease fitting up high...
And one down low.
This locker unit is a little under six feet tall, I think 12" wide, and about 15" deep.
I love these old industrial chairs. I have one more coming next week.
Dayton infrared heater, can run on NG or propane, I believe. This and the other heater I will show are used. I do not know if they are any good, but hope to be able to find out. For the cost, I could not leave them behind.
Berko 220 volt heater. Doesn't look beat-up or anything.
That's all for now!
