Burglar alarms..........

I need to put a burglar alarm in my garage. Because it is so far from my house, I need one that is hard wired. I could put it into my ADT system. But I was wondering if I could put a sensor on the walk thru door and the alarm in my house. Do any of you have one hooked up like this? Could you recommend something? Thanks.

Hard-wired alarm contacts are, for the most part, just switches. You can easily run some wire to your ADT system. Create a new zone for the garage, of course.
