This machine breaks down into manageable components for ease of moving and I have a hand truck for transporting the components from my backyard shed/shop to my drive way. I also have an engine hoist that I can setup inside for help with dissembling. According to the below catalog link this machine weighs around 450 lbs.
Local pickup only for Greensboro NC and my home is within in a 1/2 hour drive from I-73, I-840, I-40.
Looks like the serial number (10-474-44) indicates this machine as the 474 one manufactured October 1944.
I purchased this machine locally, August 2017, and completely dissembled and cleaned up along with new vertical head bearings head and everything works as designed. The spindle Timken tapered roller bearings and races did not need replacing.
I keep all three gibs on the tight side to compensate for wear and the table feed works in both directions.
Included are:
Two horizontal B&S #9 arbors (1” & 7/8” diameter).
Three used 1” arbor horizontal cutters.
One new 3” cutter for 1” arbor.
One 3/4” horizontal arbor nut (no arbor for it).
Two 1 1/16” horizontal spacer collars (no arbor for them).
One B&S #9 horizontal end mill holder.
Draw bars for horizontal arbors, end mill holder and vertical driving arbor.
Burke 3 1/2” graduated swivel milling vise.
Swivel vise handle.
Burke tilting dividing head includes:
Tail stock
1 1/2” collet for holding tapered center.
Collet draw bar
Driving dog
48 tooth indexer plate.
Burke vertical head milling attachment includes:
Adapter plate.
Horizontal driving arbor.
Spanner wrench for adjusting eccentric busing.
3C collet draw bar.
7/8” wrench for tightening 3C collet draw bar.
7 piece 3C collet set.
One used Harding3 3/8” C3 collet.
One used Rivett 1/2” 3SB collet.
Clear plastic box of miscellaneous T-slot fasteners.
110 mm vertical/horizontal rotary table new in box.
1 mm independent 4 jaw chuck new in box.
1425 RPM 3 phase GE motor that I currently have installed running via a KB electronics KBMA VFD on a 220 volt single phase line.
$850 for machine and above listed tooling.
VFD not included with the machine unless you want to buy it for $125 ($295 new).
