What is this wrench used for? It looks like a giant HVAC wrench..

There was a “Burke Machine Tool Company” that made drill presses and tapping machines.
Maybe something for one of the machines?
The company went back to 1903.

Googling does not lie. Google Books gives you decent history, especially since there are lots of old Hardware Age types of publication.
