Instigating minimum post counts to have specific access is actually a bad idea. I mean, it's a great idea, in theory. In execution, it's a mess. You'll have people posting generic 2-5 word comments on threads, some of which are 5+ years old just to get their post count up.

So while in theory it MIGHT protect some potential buyers/sellers, it makes about 1000x more work for moderators cleaning up spam. A better practice is to fully utilize the storage system between your ears.

^^ jsharp is right, I've seen it on many other forums that require a minimum post count and it is annoying.... new guy who wants to sell logs into forum and drags 5 year old topics back to the top with comments like "cool" "nice car" and "wish i had the money"...

Guy's,
We do not promote theft, trust me I can not stand it but we also can not promote tracking down the individual, the victim is going the correct route of filing a claim and the person will be banned and that is about all that can be done from here, if it would help the victim out maybe press charges against him but the above recommendations will not be tolerated. I will sticky this thread so it stays up front but unless you have been cheated from this person do not post.

UPDATE: PayPal just refunded me the money and my original transaction fee without asking any further questions. I am very happy to see this happen, as I had just figured the money was long gone. From how I understand the PayPal process, they contacted Jayson Seamen and asked him to justify his case, which he couldn't do. I have no other information on how it went down.

Total tumbs up to Paypal on this one. If you have any issues, absolutely contact them. They are very helpful.

Since your issue seems to have be resolved and monies refunded, I am closing this thread. If you have been scammed by snapster and feel the need to post in this thread, contact a Mod to have it unlocked.

Thanks for your cooperation.
