Burr King for $50....yea, sure.

Got this off CL yesterday morning. Been looking for a Burr King for a year or two now and was hoping to find one for maybe $500...but $50 works too.

This is an older one that has SANDMASTER stamped into it. I called Burr King and spoke to Janice, who stated that this was their first model, circa 1951+, and was replaced with the name 760. Parts are still available if needed. I just ordered 1.5" x 60" belts off ebay.

This one has a Dayton 1hp motor.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

You can change the wheels to run whatever width you want...this one just happened to be 1.5", and even 2" will work. But this will remove some serious material even at that width.

Fo' sho. I'd like to own a commercial 2" belt sander, but till then my homebuilt KMG will do. A while back I saw a Kalamazoo listed for $50, it was gone buy the time I called. Guy even had a mountain of belts to go with it.

Common metal working belts are 2"x72", you can easily get other sizes, but the 2x72 is often the most well supported in grit ranges.

I saw that when I was down in LA last week. I wanted to grab it but was a little far away.

Now that I think about it I'm sure I spotted it first.....so it should be mine.
