Depends on the quality, still usually 20.00 around here for the cheap stuff and price can hit a 100 easy for the best. Still have to watch the source though.
Haven't smoked since the kids came along though so some things could have changed.

Ill be honest (for the sake of GJers) I smoke fairly often, Im not much of a drinker ( I also work for myself. So Not having to take Drug tests make it much easier for me) :willy_nil

I don't condone the whole bartering with pot it just seems like it would attract alot of unwanted attention...... not to metion its illegal for pesonal use in my state.

It depends on what you consider a bag in my area you can't really find $20-30 worth you would have to go to the hood a few towns over...

In our area you would have to buy a (1/4, 1/2, 1 oz) just for refernce an 1 OZ can range anywhere from 250 for (normal/reg) up the 500+ for top shelf stuff.

Its kinda what ever floats your boat and ur budget. LOL :pimpflash

nutsnbolts - you must be new here in Washington. that's been going on for several years - even before it was legalized.
every spring and summer I get people wanting to trade lawnmowers for weed.
nothing new.

Does anyone know what the 420 means? I have always heard it and knew it stood for something to do with pot but I never knew what it meant or how it started with pot.

I live in Colorado and am not a big fan of Marijuana personally, but don't really care if others are. The way I see it it's the same as "cash or beer" which I've done plenty of times for items I don't want around anymore.

the term "420" has to do with the time that a group of high schoolers from the 70s in california use to gather after school to smoke together... if you want to read more google it ...

Yeah, I have only lived here 44 years ;)

In seriousness, it doesn't surprise me, and I am totally okay with it. I just had never seen or heard of it before so I thought it was kind of funny

I believe.... 420 refers to the police scanner code in Cali in the 70s for "marijuana use".

As in "we have a 420 at the local hs football field, oink oink" or something like that:)

There was a time in a past life that I was a marijuana enthusiast. I searched exhaustively for a convincing, verifiable origin of "420" and never did.

Am I missing things? I opened up the CL ad and did not find anything about what you are saying. Personally I am not a pot user but I thought I would read about your thread just to understand it and maybe discuss it.

The last line says $$ or 420 works too. 420 stands for pot, like on dating sites people who put "420 friendly" mean they smoke pot.

I have some pot in my toolbox, I should see if I can trade for tools around here. I rarely smoke btw, in fact, I have done it 3 times in my 37 years. I have bouts of insomnia and it works great. I went to the garage, took a couple drags and 10 mins later slept like a baby and my back felt great in the morning. I have never paid for it, for some reason people like to give it to me, no idea why.

Thank you for explaining things.......I would not have known. Who or where did they come up with these things? I don't want to sound like I was born in the basement and never brought up but geez. What will they think of next?

Not really anything new in WA state. Where I see it a lot is ads for a house/apartment rental or share situations....they will say something about being "420 friendly".

Kinda like the green door of a bar, club or tavern being a discreet sign that they serve alcohol. That goes back to the prohibition days.

Washington is being over-run by the stoners, slackers, occupiers, anarchists and welfare rats, in large part due to the legalization of pot

that occurred long before I-502 passed here. legalization had nothing to do with any of that.

So did employers in the pot smoking states just stop drug testing..? Or the stoners just dont work..? I know to keep your Commercial Drivers License (CDL) ..you still have to pass a DOT drug screen , thats Federal. Seems like it would leave lots of good jobs open for people who arent baked..? So could be good in that respect. And i know if you get hurt on the job where i work, and you fail the post accident drug test, you will not get workers comp.
