I would say the only buyers remorse I have towards tools is things I pined over for a long time thinking how great they would be to have and all the times they would come in handy. Then I buy them and never use the damn things. I'm looking at you half moon wrenches.

It's not a problem getting them across the border. I just don't go down there very often. Maybe once a year.

So when do you use a 1/4 braker bar? I never used one but I do own a 1/4 long flex SO ratchet that's a little over a foot.

Remorse I bought a Milwaukee fuel drill and impact combo like 450 with 2 free batteries. A month later with no use I returned it and bought a ridgid so I don't feel bad if I was to scratch it. I baby new tools

LMAO. I think all of us have done this with something at one point. My problem is, this is my go to excuse for justifying most of my tool purchases.

Usually only temporary on stuff that doesn't work right - I like fixing stuff, but hate fixing tools.

I have bought a couple things that I thought were a good deal, but didn't turn out that way. I usually just sell them for what I can get and don't worry about it.

HP laptop. Bought it on black Friday. Didn't pay close attention to it because it was $300 off ($500 instead of original $800) and people are grabbing them like crazy. The keyboard is silver with thin small gray lettering. I am having a real hard time reading the keyboard. Also found out it did not come with a DVD burner. It also only come with 2 USB ports compare to 4 on my previous ASUS laptop. Very disappointed.

Good one, if you use a laptop much keyboard is key,, those cheapy keyboards ****,, and the cheapy track pointers/touchpad **** too. I have a dell refurb A grade, with a lit keyboard and it is fantastic,, bought. I think its a i5 with 8gigmem, but the keayboard makes it. New $1000,, think i got it on sale for like $300

I bought an older Roto-zip at a used tool place-fortunately, It wasn't too much. It looked like something that might be useful in my ongoing cottage remodel/rebuild. Those things just unleash a blizzard of drywall dust! I went back to my little wood-handled drywall saw with a keyhole blade.

Cars. Bought an Audi S4 and up keep and maintenance was a *****, and that was doing it myself too! Shoulda saved my money and kept my trusty ol Kia, and coulda had a bigger nicer barn.

I have overpaid on a few things from auction. One I got kind of caught up in and bid higher than I should and another it wasn't what I had thought it was. Not a ton of money lost or anything but more mad at myself for losing my head on the first and not doing enough research on the second. Lessons learned and all but I still get irked when I think about it.

That has got me more than once.

A long time ago I bought a set of oil filter wrenches, the type that fit over the end of the filter and has a 3/8 drive hole. Don’t recall the brand or where I got it. While doing one filter change where the filter was stuck pretty hard so I gave it more muscle that I usually had to and broke it loose . . . the 3/8 hole not the filter. The wrench did not have the metal insert for the 3/8, it was just a molded plastic hole and I had spun the 3/8 hole round. I like that style of filter wrench in some situations so I replaced that set with one that has metal inserts for the 3/8 drive. No problems since.

That's funny, I bought a set of s wrenches to get the vacuum pump off my Cummins and been thinking about getting the half moon wrenches ever since. But only used one s wrench one time. But somehow convinced I still need them.
